Frequently Asked Questions

How Are We Able To Provide These Funds?

A generous grant has enabled us to operate this program. We receive a set amount of funding each calendar year, and we pay for the mental health counseling from such funds.

How Many Sessions Are Typically Covered?

The number of sessions may vary depending on the provider selected. We aim to provide a package of five (5) therapy sessions, with the possibility of renewing for an additional package.

Are Virtual Sessions Available?

Yes. In fact, most sessions are virtual. You will coordinate appointment times/details with the therapist directly.

Is Family Counseling Available?

Yes; you may use the counseling sessions as you and your therapist see fit.

I have my own therapist. Can the therapist be added to your platform so I can receive my package with my existing therapist?

Yes. Please email us at info@webelieveinacure.org to make this request.

What is the relationship between BelieveWell and Believe in a Cure?

BelieveWell is a division of Believe in a Cure, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2019 by Ilissa and Scott Reich in the wake of their son Eli’s diagnosis of FOXG1 syndrome, a rare and severe brain disorder. In recognition of the mental health challenges that confront caregivers in the rare disease community, Believe in a Cure has launched the BelieveWell platform.
